I am searching for my father’s birth father and birth mother. He was born in 1953, in Okinawa, Japan. I was told that he wasn’t adopted right away, but lived at an orphanage there for 1-3 years possibly, at first. I was told that his father was an American military soldier, and his mother a young Okinawan Native girl. He was adopted by an American military family (Air Force branch) in Japan, and brought over to the USA in 1957. He was listed on that manifest as being a Japanese dependent of my grandfather. His adopted name is Gary Gould, adopted by Louis A. Gould and Nellie (Heath) Gould. I do not know the original name on the birth certificate.
