My half sister is Caucasian (possibly mixed with African American but not sure) but was born in Japan. My Mom was 16 and staying with her sister and brother in law in Japan when she had her baby. I think! I am so fuzzy on so many of the facts. She may have been 18. I think it was probably 18. Her brother in law was in the Air Force and so she was staying with them at a military base. I think her daughter was adopted by a family that was also on the base. Maybe someone involved has the first name Lynn? I must sound like a doddering old man but I’m a peppy 52. The sad news I have is that our mother died in 1980 of colon cancer. But I think it’s possible that‚ if we met‚ even though our mother isn’t with us‚ we might feel some intangible sense of ease at meeting another person that feels similar to us. Or not. Who knows? At any rate I hope we meet.
