My father was a twin. They told my Nonna that one of the twins died but they never let her see the baby. My father was born sick and they didn’t trust that they would take care of the baby since they already lost one so my Nonno took my father from the hospital and nursed him back to health on her own at home. We all think that the baby could have been taken in an illegal adoption from the hospital. In 1955 and in Italy this was highly likely. Babies were born Oct 8‚ 1955 in Italy (possibly Near Polermo‚ Sicily) I do not know what hospital they were at‚ but family was from Alia. I do not know if the twins were identical or not and We think it was a boy‚ but not sure.
