I am seaching for the newborn son I gave up through a private adoption in June 1973. He was born at Northwest Hospital, located at 48th and Franklin in Des Moines, Ia. He wieghed 9lbs/4oz and had red hair. I was 18 and single,red hair and my maiden name was Martin. My parents were supportive and I found a Christian lawyer through friends at the Bible Chapel I attended. When signing the papers the adoptive parents gave me the opportunity to name our son. I was greatful but declined as I thought that was for them to chose. I only asked that when the time came to share with him about the circumstances of his birth, assure him it was for love he was blessed with his parents, not for lack of want on my part.
