I am trying to help my dad find his birth parents, mother, or family. His adopted name is Byron Strivens he was adopted in Sioux City, Iowa, Woodbury county in April of 1955, by Harold and Pearl Strivens from Coleridge, Nebraska I have letters from a law office called Whicher & Davis in Sioux City, Iowa. From what I have read they brought baby boy home on April 20th 1955. From there the mother was going in the next day to sign the preliminary paperwork for the adoption. Before this there was an investigation of the home and an interview to make sure the home was safe and that they were good people. After one year of baby being in the home they were then able to officially adopt baby boy. So on April 24th 1956 there was a hearing for the adoption and baby boy became there’s at this time. A birth certificate was then issued with them as the parents. From Nebraska my Grandparents moved to Fairmont, MN with my dad until he was an adult. Me and my father not only have medical problems that we would like information about, but so does my little girl. We are also very interested in knowing any family we might have. My dad was an only child and I know he would love to know if he has any Brothers or Sisters.
