My name is Michael Horan. According to my birth certificate I was born in Maqoketa Iowa February 12th 1966 at Jackson County Hospital. I was adopted by Robert and Jeanette Horan. My adopted mothers maiden name was Jeanette Starr who grew up and graduated in Maquoketa. Her parents were Vernetta and Gale Starr who lived in Maquoketa all there lives. We moved to Preston Iowa where I attended school until graduating in 1984. I was in touch with Pat my birth mother in 2014 to 2015 via emails. She had posted looking for me and I responded. Those emails and my previous account have been deleted. We had talked about meeting in Atlanta "where I live now" but suddenly the conversation was ended because she had consulted with friends and doctors and she decided to cut ties. I have sent her numerous emails to patj7257 & pat7257 because these were the email addresses she used. I was disappointed when she cut ties but realized she must have had good reason. She said that she did not have any other birth children and that I was the only child. I am interested to find out if she is doing well and will continue to respect her wishes.
