My birth mother was deceased before I found out who she was. I am trying to find my birth father and none of the other family members know who he is. I was born at the Florence Crittenden Home in Sioux City, IA. I do have a bit of info about him. My biological father was a student at University of Iowa around 1953. Dark hair, blue eyes, about 5’8". I have found a DNA very close match with a woman and contacted her. She too was adopted at the same place I was but a different year. She knows who her biological mother is and is pretty sure on her father. None of my DNA matches her biological mother info so it has to be on her father’s side. The man suspected of being her father has a last name of Menges. There was a Menges at the college during the time in question.
