I am assisting in the search for any relatives of a baby girl born 24 August 1974, possibly in or near Algona, Iowa. She was 3 months old when she came to live at her forever home in Minnesota November 1974. Her adoptive parents were registered with Catholic Charities, but it is uncertain if the birth parents were as well, only that faith was important to the mother. The adoptive parents got the call to pick their precious new daughter up from an Iowa foster home just before Thanksgiving 1974. All that is known of the people who gave them this precious gift was the mother had been a college student, enjoyed cross stitch and bowling. This blond curly haired, blue eyed, baby girl grew up in a loving home with wonderful parents. She was very blessed indeed. Her adoptive parents, sadly, passed several years ago. She is interested in learning the full story of her family tree and whatever that may be, she is open to any information that can be shared to help her honor the gift she was given through adoption. She is also hoping to share important genetic health information with biological family. And if anyone is interested in forming relationships she is open to that possibility as well, but would also be content to just know and share her information if others do not share her sentiments.
