Hello- I was given some information by family after my adoptive father’s passing in 2023. I was born on December 6‚ 1970. In Cedar Rapids‚ Iowa to a woman named Janice White‚ age 18 who was unwed. This is the name on the papers I have. Catholic Charities out of Dubuque‚ IA managed the adoption. On December 10‚ 1970 I was placed in the home. The adoption was approved by the court in Dubuque County‚ Iowa in February 1972. I believe Janice White graduated from high school in Charles City‚ IA in 1970 based on some research in Ancecestory.com. The father is not named but per paperwork I have he was 19.
