His father was Norbert Eugene Mangler, born March 25, 1925, in Clinton, Iowa and died on November 18, 1971, in Rock Island, Illinois. Ruth Mae (Reid) Diaz was born February 2, 1931, Menomonie, Wisconsin. The Iowa District Court for Scott Couty finalized Thomas adoption process in December 28, 1951.
