I was adopted at birth, and have recently connected with my biological half siblings, aunt, cousins, nieces and nephews following the death of my birthmother. She took the name of my biological father to her grave, saying only that she knew him. My biological mother’s name was Mary Ellen Reno, and I was born in Muncie, IN. My DNA is on file at Ancestry. com, FTDNA, and My Heritage, but weeding out the maternal matches from those who could potentially match paternally has become exceptionally laborious. I have two pretty close matches - one that is my best guess for a paternal line (Tate) and one that is my highest match, but unfortunately, this lady is also adopted and has no idea who her DNA came from, either.
