The only relevant thing I know about my background is that I was born at Elkhart Memorial Hospital on June 20‚ 1971. I was handed to my adoptive parents ... Floyd and Wilma Bontrager ... when I was 4 days old. No other information was available and it was a closed adoption. The Elkhart County Courthouse told me that all my records are sealed and I would have to go in front of a judge to even get my decree of adoption. All this would have required a lawyer and I just don't have that kind of money.
