I am trying to find more information on my mother, Madeline, who was born 3/7/1920 in Kokomo, Indiana and is now deceased. According to my father who is also deceased, my mother’s mother was Onda Matchett. However, the name of her father is not known for sure. Madeline was adopted (?) sometime within 2 years of her birth by Edward and Mattie Bless, but when Mattie passed away in 1922, she was adopted by Norman G. and Ethel Wilkinson who changed her name to Madelynn Mae Wilkinson. This information was found in the archives of the Kokomo Tribune dated Tuesday, April 11, 1922. It is a family rumor that Madeline’s biological father was Albert Buck, but I can’t find anything to substantiate that rumor.
