My father was born December 22‚ 1961. He passed away when I was 9 months old‚ December 23‚ 1988. He had attempted to locate his birth parents who were both from Elkhart‚ IN. His birth mother was sent to Hennepinin Minnesota to have him & he was brought back to be adopted at 3 months old accompanied by a social worker. His mother is said to have been just 18 at his birth & had lived nearby the biological father. He has notes from calling the welfare department and my mother had told me it was like they were reading him a letter from his birth mother. Supposedly the father worked for the mother’s father‚ asked her to marry him and she declined. She had reddish brown hair‚ blue eyes & was an only child. She was in glee club‚ part of the school paper and wrote some articles for the yearbook. The birth father was a sophomore business major in college at the time of my father’s birth. The mother wanted to go to beauty school‚ be a model or an airline stewardess. I would love to find my biological grandparents‚ knowing they are from the immediate area where I have grown up and lived my 35 years I have always wondered if we have crossed paths.
