To my knowledge I was born on Feb 8, 1971. I was raised by Sandra P (Gray) Hayes, and her husband Ronald Hayes. They wed in 1966 and he was in the military. Although they were married, he was always considered to be my “step dad” who had adopted me. My mother waited until I was 18 to inform me I was adopted with no further explanation until the time of her death. Both of my parents were Evansville, IN locals, however- l know something is fishy about the way my mom went about it. I’m not sure if she may have gotten pregnant when my step dad was away? I would have been born with bright red hair.
