I have been helping this man for years try to find relatives on his mother’s. We finally made contact with a couple of people on his father’s side. This is a very complex situation. His name on "a" birth certificate, is: Billy Malone, Jr, father William Malone, mother Myrtle Holdsworth BUT... he received a letter from the VA (Indiana) in 1966, showing his father was Clayton P Malone, died and left his 3 children money... he knew they were all given up for adoption, to different people. It named him as Billy Thornhill his brother as Clayton (adopted last name of Bradley) and sister as Evelyn (adopted last name of Flora). Bill (all 3) were born in Indiana. Bill was supposedly put on an orphan train and ended up in Iowa and was raised there by the Thornhill’s. Clayton and Evelyn stayed in the Childrens’ Aid Orphanage where they were adopted from. It appears that there were two Myrtle Holdsworth (one who did marry a William Malone) and the other did NOT actually marry Clayton Patrick Malone, but had three children by him. Looking to find his original birth certificate for a correct age (he is still living) info on his sister (his brother died in WWII). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you Kay Peca
