I am searching for information on behalf of a fellow adoptee‚ JL. - I was adopted. I was born on October 11‚ 1944‚ at Suman Coleman Hospital in Indianapolis‚ Indiana and 11 days later‚ it is my understanding‚ my aunt and uncle picked me up from my birth mother and took me to my new parents. I have been searching for information about my birth mother for many years and would appreciate it if you would let me know if you have any information. It seems possible that my birth mother was in England or thereabouts when I was conceived but gave birth to me in Indianapolis Indiana. Since it was near the end of the war‚ I’m guessing she might have been over there serving as a nurse. I found a close relative who says no one was here in the States at that time. I have no names‚ except “Horton” that was written on the directions for my formula when in hospital. - I believe I have traced the birth mother to Helen Hope Horton of Kentucky. I have no other leads.
