I was born in South Bend, IN., in South Bend hospital. I was placed around June 10, 1966 to a couple in Fort Wayne, In. The adoption was arranged through Catholic Charities. My birth mother was young and stayed with an Aunt during the pregnancy. The aunt was contacted by my request to catholic charities in 2000 and told the representative that my birth mother had never told her husband about the unwanted pregnancy from her youth, and she was unwilling to tell him then (2000), so contact was denied. I don’t know if the aunt ever told my birth mother that I had attempted contact.
