I am looking for my half-sister. My sister was adopted at birth, but my mom named her Rachel. Her date of birth was May 26, 1966 and she was born in Indiana in a hospital or "home for unwed mothers" that later burned down (that’s what my mom told me, anyway). My mother was 20 or 21 years old when my sister was born and she was forced to give her up for adoption by her parents. My mother was Presbytarian, caucasian, with green eyes, fair skin, medium brown straight hair, and a widow’s peak. The family ethnic background on my mom’s side is largely English/Irish/Welsh. My mother grew up in Shelbyville, IN and I think the hospital/home she gave birth in was likely not too far from there. The birth father was possibly a dentist from the same area. I have done the DNA registry on Ancestry and my other sister has done the DNA registry at 23andMe. We are fully searchable if you do it and come up as a match.
