My name is Miranda Baker and I am searching for my sister who was adopted at birth. Our mother had turned 16 about 3 weeks prior to the baby’s birth. Our mother’s (the birth mother) name was Peggy Laramore at the time and her date of birth is Oct 9, 1963. She was not married and the father is not on any of the paperwork, including birth certificate. Our mother was asked if she wanted to hold the baby, but she told them if she did that she would be unable to allow the baby to be adopted. She wanted better for her child than what she could provide at such a young age. The baby was born on October 31, 1979. Our mother named her baby Colena (Lena) Laramore. Colena was given up for immediate adoption. Our mother was told she was not entering foster care, but was being adopted immediately. I do not have the hospital name nor the adoption agency.
