My son’s name at birth was Samuel David Kollar. He was born in Lake County Indiana. The hospital that he was born in was Saint Margaret Mercy in Dyer, IN, and now it is called Franciscan Health Dyer. I had only three days to spend with him, and since that day, I have never stopped thinking about him. The only thing that I know of the family that adopted him was that they lived in Texas. I don’t know where because it was a private adoption. Their religion is Baptist. My father made me give him up for adoption. I never wanted too. My last memory of my son was of me holding him in a wheel chair. He had his thumb in his mouth as tears were falling from my eyes. Every young man’s face that I see on social media, I wonder if that could be my son.
