My mother gave birth to a baby girl 12-28-1944, listed in the "The Indianapolis News"(December 30, 1944), Kenneth, Frances Foster, Methodist, Girl. (Methodist Hospital) My mother was divorced from Kenneth Foster, he was in WW11, a POW, I believe, at the time of the birth. Their other to children, Kenneth and Gail was placed in foster care as my mother worked till the birth. My Mother, her first husband, Kenneth and their children Kenneth and Gail are all deceased. Baby Girl Foster (Kathy) was adopted by Imogene and Carlos Canary, both are deceased. My understanding is that my mother left Kathy with Imogene to babysit and never returned, so Imogene could not adopt Kathy for 7 years. Kathy Lynn Adams married had children and in August 2, 2005, Kathy and her daughter, died in a car accident in Lindale, TX Kathy’s other daughter Sherry Adams Mulder has made contact thru 23 & Me with my niece. Sherry interviewed her mom regarding her birth, adoption and any knowledge of her birth mom. She has a picture of my mother from 1944 and apparently Imogene and my mother were friends or acquaintances. We are looking for the birth certificate of Kathy’s and her adoption papers.
