My mother, Emilie Marie Jankowski, was unmarried and pregnant with twin boys which she gave up for adoption around 1942 in South Bend Indiana. This was a great source of pain for her and she never wanted to speak about it. She passed in 2011 and now that she is gone I would like to see if I could find them or their families as I grew up as an only child. She was a practicing Catholic at the time so I’m guessing the adoption would have been through a Catholic agency, although I could be wrong. If living, they would be around 77. Unfortunately, I do not know the name of the father. I do have some second cousin DNA that relates to a family named Tobolski.
