I’m looking for my father’s half brother. My grandfather was with a young woman that went to high school with my father. My father was around 17 or 18 at the time. This young woman had a son by my grandfather and gave him up for adoption. My father thinks her name was Becky Dale or Vicky Dawl, Daughl, Dahl, Diehl, but he’s not for sure. He could be wrong about the name altogether. We looked on his high school website but can’t find her name because he thinks she ended up dropping out. My understanding is that she was a year ahead of him and was married. My grandfather’s name is Eugene O. Kaufman Sr. My father is Eugene O. Kaufman Jr. This happened in Logansport, IN anywhere from 1977-1979, maybe 1980. I don’t know if she gave birth in Logansport or one in of the surrounding cities. I don’t know the month or day of my half uncle’s birth. Just that he’s probably in his 40’s-50’s. My dad has been hoping he’d find him on Ancestry as a DNA match but nothing yet. He’s really hoping to find his half brother. The photo to left is my grandfather and my dad. Top right photo is my dad and his biological siblings. Bottom left is my grandfather as a child. Middle is my grandfather in his younger years. Bottom right is my dad. I believe that’s his senior picture but I could be mistaken.
