I was born Stanton Earl Easter to Stanton and my mother, Helen Lucille Andis "Andes". They divorced while I was an infant or toddler, and I was later adopted by my stepfather, Fred Joseph Higbee. My name was then changed to Melvin Earl Higbee. I am seeking the adoptive records of my biological father, including his biological parents’ names as well as Stanton’s birth name. We believe that Stanton’s birth and adoption occurred in either Arlington, Rush County, Indiana or Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.
