I was adopted through the Indianapolis Children’s Bureau. I do not know anything of my father’s history. On my birth mother’s side, her Mother had passed away by the time I was born and I believe my birth mom has sisters. My info I have said my birth mother had sisters and she had been living in Arizona. I do know that when my adoptive parent started their search of a baby, they did specify they would like a child from someone older, not in their teens. I now know my mother was 22 years old. The first contact with Children’s Bureau was on 11/02/1970 when I was 4 days old. Stated mother was overwhelmed by situation and temporary foster care was the initial plan. Birth mother cried when she parted from the baby. The birth father wanted to get married but was living with another woman at the time. He quit his job and started hanging out at a pool hall and whereabouts are unknown. Information states he is unaware of my existence. Birth mother’s family wore eyeglasses. Grandmother and aunt had hay fever. Great grandfather had cancer, which was cured. He was healthy at age 73 although he had a hearing loss. Great grandmother died at 53 of heart problem. A great grandfather was still living at 73, with heart problems. Birth mother was protestant , graduated high school and Indiana School of Business and Technology. She was key punch operator. 5’5", 160 lbs brown hair and blue eyes. Birth mothers father was 46 and was Caucasian and born in Panama. Graduated high school and attended college. He was a gasoline retailer. He was 6’2", 230 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes. Wore glasses. Was interested in Boys Scouts and woodworking. Birth mother’s mother was 41, graduated high school and was a homemaker. She was 5’2", 180 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. She wore glasses and had hay fever. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cub scouts and golf. Grandfather on Father’s side was 73, finished 8th grade and was retired. He was 6’2" and 190 lbs. Gray hair, blue eyes. Wore glasses, had cancer but was cured and suffered hearing loss. Enjoyed model making and listening to radio. Grandmother on Father’s side died at 53 of heart attack. Grandfather on mother’s side 73 year old, finished 4th grade, retired. 5’8", 190 lbs, gray hair, hazel eyes. Wore glasses and had heart issues. Enjoyed wood working. Grandmother on Mother’s side 65 years old and was from Indiana. Graduated high school and was homemaker. 5’5", 200 lbs, brown hair and blue eyes. Wore glasses. Enjoyed crocheting. Birth mothers siblings: 22 year old sister, graduated high school and was registered nurse. Blonde hair blue eyes. Wore glasses. Enjoyed sewing, bowling, swimming and knitting. 18 year old sister. Graduated high school and attended 1 year college. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Wore glasses and had hay fever. Enjoyed sewing, swimming and knitting. 15 year old brother.
