My mom passed away in 2012 and I just found out (Oct 2021) from her best friend at the time that she had a child when she was 20 years old. My older brother and I are very interested in meeting the sibling we never knew we had. This person would have been born in Indiana‚ likely Valparaiso. My mom left home at some point during the pregnancy and had the baby in Indiana and then went back to Ohio. It would be late 1964 or the first half of 1965 when my sibling was born. We think the father was a police officer. I believe she stayed at a home for unwed mothers‚ but as I understand it‚ she never knew if she had a boy or a girl. Mom’s last name was Scholten.
