At the time of my pregnancy with you I was in an abusive marriage‚ poverty stricken‚ and had no means to support the children I already had. I had gotten pregnant after a relationship with another man while legally separated from that abusive relationship. The man who I got pregnant from didn’t believe you were his and didn’t want to take responsibility. It was a horrible time in my life full of trauma‚ abuse‚ uncertainty‚ insecurity‚ and turmoil. Most‚ in this situation‚ would have taken the doctor’s advice and terminated this pregnancy due to my untenable circumstances. I decided as a healthy strong prime aged female‚ I could give a child a chance at life and a longing family a child. I didn’t know this would be so hard to do‚ but it was excruciating and painful. I swallowed that pain though and carried through. I did my best to find you a good home with a loving family with already established children and intelligent hard-working parents. I hope and pray every day I did right by you. I hope someday I get to find out.
