I’m searching for any information about my father’s birth family. My father was adopted in 1936 in Indianapolis‚ Indiana by a social services employee and her husband. I believe he was adopted from the Lutheran Home‚ but this may not b accurate. His adoptive parent’s names are Mary and Fredrick Hamerin. His adoptive name is Malfred James Hamerin. His adoptive mother was a Social Worker who I believe worked for the Children’s Home when he was adopted. I have suspected his birth mother could be Mary Elva Sale‚ but that is a guess based on a DNA match on ancestry and that a Mary Sale gave birth to a male infant on my father’s birthday and she did not name the father of the infant on the birth certificate. The baby’s name was Harry Le Roy Sale. Mary Sale was 22 at the time of the birth and lived in either Warren‚ IN or Warren County in IN. I have DNA matched with some of Mary Sale’s grandsons.
