My mother & fathers name was Thomas A Buchanan & Mattie Mae Buchanan. My mom had a baby girl Late 1952 or 1953. they lived in E St. Louis IL at the time. They named the baby Patricia Nell Buchanan. My mom's mom name was Bethel Gale from Wingo Ky. My half-sister Delois Sue Gale lived with our grandma Bethel in Ky. There was this woman that lived up the hill from my grandma Bethel named Helen Jackson and my grandma was well aware that Helen daughter and husband lived in E ST Louis at the time and wanted to adopt. After Helen Daughter and husband adopted ‚ Helens daughters husband lost his job n E ST Louis and they moved in with her mom Helen in Wingo KY up the hill from my grandma. The little girl attended Fulgham Elementary school in Ky where my half-sister Sue went to. She was in one grade lower than my half-sister and Sue remember she was in 6th grade so Patricia Nell would of been in 5th grade. Sue remembers a big resemblance between her and Patricia. She went home and asked our grandma why does this girl at school look like me then grandma suspected that that would be the daughter mom and dad gave away.
