Megan was born at Mercy Health Care Center on January 25, 1993 to Daniel Gaudio and Mary Johnston. I saw Megan when she was born for the last time. It was perhaps the most difficult thing I ever experienced in my life to put her up for adoption. However, my husband felt that we had to accede to the wishes of Dan and Mary who wanted to place her for adoption. She was given through Sunnyridge Adoption Agency, Wheaton IL. within one month to Rose and Joe. It was supposed to be an open adoption, but the last picture I have of her was when she was four years old. After that, there was no contact with either Dan or Mary. Dan passed away in 2015 and at that time I had even more of a desire to see her. My husband and I also adopted Dan at 9 days of age. At the time of her adoption, I wrote a letter saying that if she ever wanted any information about her father’s family, she had only to ask.
