Looking for a girl, but may be a boy, who was adopted out of Mattoon, Illinois in either late June or early July 1967. It would have been Mattoon Hospital (now Sarah Bush Hospital) and the mother (my aunt) was 18 at the time. I’m not sure if the adoption and birth would have happened in another city, such as Peoria, Chicago or St. Louis, perhaps through a religious charity organization. This person would be my 1st cousin (only cousin on that side of family) and we would love to just meet them or provide them with any information that they would like. I wish I had more solid info on the date and place of birth, but as with many adoptions in the late 60s, so much was kept secret. If any of this sounds somewhat correct for you, please reach out!
