I was adopted through the Children's Home and Aid Society in Chicago‚ IL but I don't know if my biological mother was from Illinois. My biological mother was 33 yrs old and going through a divorce. She had a relationship (which resulted in me) with a co-worker. When I was born in 1969‚ she had 5 children with her soon to be former husband. She was understandably concerned that if she had another child outside of that marriage she would lose custody of her children. Her other children were 3 daughters ages 14‚ 13‚ and 9 and 2 sons ages 10 and 11. To my knowledge she went away from her children‚ siblings‚ and parents to have me. She did not tell her family about the pregnancy. She also may have been a twin. I don't know anything about my biological father except he was African-American. My biological mother was White.
