Hopefuldad
Not a day goes by that I don’t think about the sons I never met. I was not allowed to contest the adoptions‚ and had to sign over my rights completely. In 1978‚ in May‚ my first son was born‚ probably in Quincy‚ Illinois to Marie Allen‚ whose family was from there. The adoption was handled by Catholic Charities. In September of 1980‚ my 2nd son was born. The mother‚ Laura O’Neil of Palatine‚ Illinois‚ left me in March to have the baby around home and family‚ and put him up for adoption. Her father was a deacon in the Catholic Church‚ and his daughter having and keeping a baby on her own was out of the question‚ and having me around was even worse‚ no matter if I wanted that or not. I didn’t have a chance‚ I was again forced to sign away all off my rights. It is my sincere hope that I can find my children‚ and get to know them‚ and they can get to know me and my other children.
