My adoption was privately arranged for pre-birth and I believe the obstetrician was Max Pyster working for Lovelace Hospital‚ a Catholic Charity. There is a confusion in memory from reading my birth certificate (destroyed) as to whether my bio-mother or I was named Cathleen or Dorothy Barrett‚ possibly vice versa. A first cousin once removed‚ Ian Glas‚ has appeared on 23&Me but he remains silent. His mother’s maiden name was Bushnell and I believe it is through her we are related. My bio-mother was reported to have been 18 years old‚ Irish‚ and working as a maid in a Jewish family in the suburbs of Chicago. This is probable as my adoptive parents came from a Jewish background in Pittsburgh‚ PA. Any information would be welcome!
