Born Jolliet IL, I think in Will county, my birth name was accidentally left on one page of the adoption document a permanent sharpie like marker was used, I guess the attorney who handled it missed my name on a page. My name is Laura Lee Ehrlich or Erlich - the adoption papers were misplaced several years ago, so I’m not sure about the spelling. My birth mom may have been in college at the time, I’m not sure. My adoptive parents last name is Peterson. I believe I was only a few days or weeks old when adopted. I was told It was handled through a state agency.
