My daughter was born in Peoria Illinois at St. France hospital to a 16 year old scared little girl and a 25 year old father forced to sign over his rights. My parents chose to go through Catholic Social Services to handle the adoption. I received some new born pictures before being placed with the adopting couple‚ such a beautiful bright eyed baby girl with a head full of hair. They named her Rachael and sent me a couple letters and pictures for a few years‚ the last was high school graduation‚ Rachael wearing a green cap and gown. It was held in a gymnasium and appears to have maroon and gold for the school color. In the note the adoption mother said after graduation Rachael was planning to go to school to become a vet tech. I do not want to disrupt the life she has made for herrself and have sworn I will never look for her‚ but if she so chooses to find me I am more than willing to meeting‚ or if she does not wish to met me‚ then maybe meet my other three children and 6 grandchildren. Her father was a twin‚ and my middle daughter has twins‚ I bet she has had twins as well. Rachael if you see this there isn't a day that goes by that I do not think about you and regret my decision for giving you up‚ I honestly thought I was doing what my parents wanted me to do‚ and they thought that I was doing it because that is what I really wanted‚ come to find out that had we just been open and honest from the start I would have kept you and saved years and years of pain and heartbreak. But I'm happy you were given a good life with every option to excel. I love you so very much by beautiful baby girl.
