My father was adopted at 6 months of age. (1946ish) His mother‚ Marie (don’t know her last name at the time of his birth) had him while her husband was at war‚ and gave him up for adoption. She went on to have 3 other children and a set of triplets who didn’t make it. She and her husband later divorced and she gave all three of her children (9‚ 7‚ and 3) up for adoption because she was having difficulty controlling the boys‚ and no man would want a woman with 3 children. This is what she told me by email 19 years ago. I think maybe the younger daughter was named Caroline but I could be wrong. If you are the son or daughter of a woman who gave you up for adoption and her first name was Marie Crist or possibly Fleeman in Illinois‚ you may have a half brother you didn’t know about. This is my father. He was born as Jimmy‚ and renamed Glenn. Was adopted from an agency called The Cradle.
