I have a younger sister that was placed for adoption at birth when I was very young‚ I do not know the exact year she was born but it would have been between 1992 and 1998. I was born in 1992 and have some memories from that time‚ and have a younger brother that was born in 1998. My mother’s name was Michelle Renee Chapman at the time‚ her last name is now Copen. My sister was born in Waukegan‚ IL possibly at St Therese hospital. And my dad says her first name is Rachel (not sure if that is the spelling that was used) and that Rachel was adopted by a navy family in the hospital. According to my dad’s side of the story he was told that Rachel was his child until Rachel was born and was mixed (both my parents are Caucasian). I am not sure if my dad is on the original birth certificate or not since he thought she was his throughout the entire pregnancy‚ but his name is Brian Michael DeVoe incase that is relevant information. My mother pretends the adoption never happened so I am unable to get any information from her about my sister. I have 2 older half sisters‚ and 2 younger half brothers (we all have the same mom). My sisters and I all remember our mother being pregnant‚ since my brothers are younger they think the story is made up. I would love to connect with my sister if possible as I just had my own daughter and thought she may want to meet me and her biological half siblings.
