I was told that my birth mother gave me up at birth‚ because she could not afford to raise me along with the other two siblings she had at the time. My mother at the time lived at an address close 40th in South Prairie St. on the south side of Chicago Illinois at the time I was born. She gave birth to me in the Cook County Hospital. Her maiden name was Margaret Jean Byrd. My birth father name was James Smith. My mother may have married my father after my birth‚ therefore changing her last name to Smith. The first birth certificate I had‚ stated her name as Margaret Jean Byrd‚ but a birth certificate I got later I believe her name was stated as Margaret Jean Smith. This is all the information I have.
