I am the family genealogist and I am helping to look for my cousin’s birth parents / family. She was born in March of 1954, believed to be delivered in Chicago, Ill. The mother is listed in a birth contract ( Gray market adoption) as Christina Handsel / Hanzel ??? The mother was about 17ish. She was listed as German. The adopting couple was from New York. The Adoption took place in October 1954 and the baby girl was turned over to them at that time. So the baby would have been about 5 month old. Warmest regards ..... Leah
