I am looking for a man, whose name at birth was Timothy C. Baugus. He was born to Linda Faye Strunk Baugus and James Baugus in Sept of 1969 in Chicago, IL. Timothy is my 3rd cousin. In researching my family tree, Timothy’s younger half sister and I were put in contact with each other. She didn’t know of Timothy’s existence until fairly recently when she found some papers that her mother left behind. She wants very much to meet him as he is her only sibling. We don’t know if his name was left at Timothy C Baugus and we don’t know if he was adopted by someone in the birth fathers family or outside of it. What we do know from the found documents, which are from the courts of Chicago, IL, is that on Dec 19, 1969, when he was 4 months old, his mother left him with an aunt and uncle. At some point, we assume that the aunt and uncle called childrens services, though it could’ve been anyone to call, and made a complaint of neglect against Linda. Linda did not have siblings so we believe the Aunt or Uncle was related to the father is was listed on the papers as James Baugus and he was listed as incarcerated in Stateville Prison at the time of the complaint. We don’t know if Timothy was kept in the family or made a ward of the state because we have no follow up papers to the original complaint. We do know that he was not with Linda in 1971 because that is when his sister was born.
