I am searching for information on my 2x great grandfather‚ Jerome Henry Graves. His story was he was adopted by an Isabel martin in 1900 after his father who was a hunter went into Shawneetown forest and never returned‚ he also claimed his mother also died. After Isabel martin a Robert Athey adopted him in 1910 in croford Co‚ IL to be a worker. He then ended up on the orphan train in Roodhouse IL. Later in life his daughter my great grandmother Thelma was told he knew where to find his sisters Ruth and Lana. Lana was adopted in Crawford Co IL and Ruth in Cairo IL. He told Thelma he knew where to find them because they were with the bean family. Which Isabel Martins daughter Hattie/harriet is a bean.
