I am desperately searching for my son. I was forced to put him up for adoption by my own 2nd set of adoptive parents. He was born in Sprinfield Illinois at Springfield Memorial Hospital. My adoptive mother worked in the neonatal unit of the hospital. Her name was Shirley Jean Young. I was forced against my will to put him up for adoption. I was told that they went thru my church to do the adoption. Taylorville Christian Church in Taylorville‚ Illinois. I was told years later by my adoptive parents John Kenneth Young and Shirley Jean (Thacker)Young that they gave him to an orphanage St. Joseph Christian Childrens Home In Missouri. I named my son Adam Scott Young. I spoke to one man who came to our house and signed one paper. I wrote him a letter explaining why I had to give him up for adoption. The man took it with him. I lived in an extremely abusive home. I suffered many kinds of abuse and I was told by the Youngs that if I didnt give my son up and sign the paper that they were going to send me somewhere far worse than their house. When Adam was born I lived at in St. Taylorville‚Ilinois 62568. I attended Taylorville Senior High School. The Youngs took me out of school and hired a tutor which came to our house while I was pregnant and I returned to school once I gave birth. Adam was 6 1/2 weeks premature and weighed 4lbs 15oz. One of his lungs wasnt fully formed and he had some type of cyst on his eye. I was brought into a room in the necu and was allowed to hold my son one time. He was handed to me out of his incubator with mutiple wires and tubes protruding from him. That is the last time I saw my son. I have had multiple health issues including cancer. I have faced death 7 times in the last 4 years. I am not guaranteed tomorrow. My one wish is that I can find my son and that he can know his brother‚sister and 3 nephews‚ a niece and one on the way. I have never been fortunate to have the money to hire private investigators like shown on Long Lost Family and shows like that. Adam has always been loved and there hasnt been a day that I havent thought of him. Any help that you could give would be so greatly appreciated.
