My mother was born an extreme preemie‚ likely around 24 weeks & put up for adoption. She was born with two holes in her heart & had open heart surgery before 1yr of age to repair this. Her adoptive mother worked for a Catholic adoption organization in Peoria‚ IL & I believe adopted her through that service. However‚ there was a fire with the associated church & many records were lost‚ including my grandmother’s employment records. She fostered over 50 hospice & special needs infants and children‚ but my mother is the only one she adopted. I just would like to find more grandparents or family I might have out there.
