I was born December 15th‚ 1956 in Chicago Illinois. I was then transferred to the Catholic charities orphanage and was adopted by a German family about two months later. I have never known my birth parent’s names. During that time it was legal to not list the biological parents on the birth certificate. Although I have no idea if their names are even on there. I did a 23andMe test and it shows I am very Greek. I got a few DNA matches for relatives but still hitting a wall piecing the relatives together to ultimately find out who my birth parents were. If you know anything about the records kept at Catholic Charities Orphanage before it burned down I would be very grateful.
