My mom was born in Chicago Illinois so the records would’ve been handled with Cook County. She was born May 4‚1965 and was adopted. She had a sibling who had also been adopted and while her adoptive parents had all of his records to do with the adoption in a lock box they had nothing for my mom other than her birth certificate listing them (the adopted parents) as her parents. Nothing else which we found a little odd. My mother was also adopted I believe right off the bat her adopted sibling wasn’t fully adopted until he was a little over a year old.
