My mother gave birth mid June of 1975 to a baby girl. My grandmother was strict Catholic and since my mom was unwed, she was forced to give it up for adoption. My mother was from Effingham, IL. The biological father passed away shortly after the birth, but was never involved. The Catholic priest and the Christian preacher (Reverend Bebee) were both involved in the adoption.
