My name is Sarah Layton Chavez i'm from southern Illinois. I recently found out that I have a half brother that was adopted at birth. All I have to go on is that the mothers name is Clora Lindell Williams. She was 15 or 16 yrs old when she had the baby boy. I believe the baby was born in or around Alton Illinois‚maybe Wood river or Grafton or even Elsa Illinois back in 1961 or 1962 I'm not sure on y the year. Linda was my mother and she never told any of us about this adoption. It wasn't until after she passed away that my father had told me and that he had seen the birth certificate years earlier‚but he couldn't remember the date. And now my father has passed and I have no idea where my mother kept that stuff. My older sister had my mothers belongings but has gotten rid of just about everything of hers. So this is all I have to go on. If I should find my half brother‚ he has 3 more brothers and 2 sisters. I am a twin and we are the youngest of the five and we are 52 yrs old.
