Hello, I was born in Springfield, IL in the summer of 1981. I was told that I am 50% Filipino, 25% Croatian, and 25% Irish. My Filipino coming from my biological mother who was 18 at the time she gave birth to me. One of the only things I know about my biological mother is that she liked art. When interviewed prior to my adoption, my sister requested her new sibling be artistic like her, so that was a key trait that helped me be matched with my family. I’ve have always held a special place in my heart for my biological parents, as a kid I was taught to pray for my "special angels" who gave me one of life’s most selfless gifts. While my life has been full of blessings, I have always wondered what my biological parents might be like. What traits do I have of theirs? What my culture is like? Do I have any siblings? I am hoping to connect, find out some of these answers, and get to know a part of me that has always been a mystery.
